Hello fandom!

Stuff I've squeed over since I last posted regularly nine years ago:

• Dr Who (especially the episode 'Amy's Choice'. Ship: Twelve/Clara
• Sherlock. Ship: SH/JW natch.
• Band of Brothers: Nixon/Winters (sorry I really mean no disrespect)
• The Mighty Boosh: Noelian. Still reading this stuff in 2019.
• Flowers: Maurice/Shun
• Still reading Snarry like a demon. I've been meaning for years to get around to writing 2 AU fics: one inspired by the folk song 'The Cruel Ship's Captain' and the other set during the second world war.
• Jed Mercurio's Bodyguard was silly fun and I was totes into David Budd and his ebil tory Julia. This programme was much more enjoyable for following each episode by reading Louisa Mellor's reviews in Den of Geek. She's some kind of genius.
• Shetland: Jimmy/Duncan

In retrospect, I see I've shipped two Peter Capaldi characters (including Malcolm/Jamie in The Thick of It), two Keeley Hawes (including Galex from Ashes to Ashes) and Julian Barratt, who I think is my id, is in there twice too. And what is it about middle aged Scottish men?

I'm writing fic again. The end of series 5 of Shetland was the slashiest thing I've seen in years and I got 2 plotbunnies straightaway. Have written a short bit of fluff I'll post soon. Setting up an account at An Archive of Our Own.

In real life, I met a new fella in 2011 and we married in 2017. Life's good apart from being skint and h8ting my job. Fandom's always been a great escape from an unhappy worklife for me, thank goodness.
